Why Memchats exists
Most human problems are communication problems with specific people: your ex-partner, your mother, your co-founder, that difficult boss, the match who ghosted you. Every relationship has its own history, its wounds, its open commitments, its patterns.
Today's AI tools are generic: they help you draft an email, but they don't remember that this person lost trust in you 3 months ago over a broken promise you're now repeating.
Memchats is living memory, per person. You import your chats, and we build a profile that evolves: stable traits, emotional events, cross commitments, open threads,patterns you don't see. When you consult an advisor (legal, couples, dating, negotiation or mediation), it responds with full context of that relationship.
Our principles
1. Your data lives in Europe
Hetzner servers in Germany. Embeddings computed with self-hosted models. Postgres with encryption at rest. We never send your messages to OpenAI or any service without signed no-training contracts. Digital sovereignty isn't marketing: it's code that's already running.
2. Portable memory, not ownership
Your memory is yours. Export everything as JSON whenever you want, no friction. If you cancel, you have a 30-day grace period, then we delete it. No technical lock-in.
3. Expert advisors, not generic chatbots
Lexiel (Spanish legal), Spain Tax Advisor, emotional advisor, dating, negotiation: each one is a separate system trained on curated knowledge, not generic prompts on top of Claude.
4. Real verticals, not fake horizontals
Memchats doesn't compete with ChatGPT at doing "everything". It competes by solving concrete problems: "communicate with your ex without creating more legal conflict", "remember the commitments you made to your teenage daughter", "prepare the negotiation with your co-founder with the context of the last 6 months".
The story
Memchats was born in April 2026 within the codelabs.studio ecosystem. The founding use case was a personal experience of the founding team: managing communication with an ex-partner during a custody process, where remembering commitments, contradictions and promises was literally legal evidence in court.
If we're going to delegate tasks to AI, let's delegate the ones that weigh on us the most emotionally: remembering with precision the people who matter in our life. That's worth more than remembering an email.

- Q2 2026: closed beta launch in Spain (1000 Founding Members)
- Q3 2026: open launch + Pro tier with Lexiel + Tax Advisor
- Q4 2026: iOS app on the App Store, expansion to Italy and Portugal, Business tier
- Q1-Q2 2027: LATAM (Mexico, Argentina, Colombia) + Workspaces for teams
- 2028+: Apple Watch, voice as primary interface, advanced integrations
